Overview

Looking to Correct a Confirmed Deficiency, or Explore What's Appropriate for You

Looking to correct a confirmed vitamin deficiency or explore whether injectable treatment may be appropriate for you?

At Marylebone Diagnostic Centre, we provide safe, doctor-led Intramuscular (IM) Injections and Medical Injectable Therapies from our Central London clinic.

Unlike oral supplements, IM injections are administered directly into the muscle, allowing vitamins or prescribed substances to be absorbed without relying on the digestive system.

Every patient receives an individual medical assessment before treatment. Our priority is not simply to administer an injection, but to ensure that the treatment is appropriate, evidence-based and suited to your medical needs.

Your Safety Comes First

Evidence Before Treatment

At Marylebone Diagnostic Centre, patient safety is always our highest priority.

We do not routinely administer Vitamin B12 or Vitamin D3 injections without an appropriate medical assessment and, where indicated, recent blood test results confirming deficiency or showing that treatment is medically appropriate.

Patients may:

  • Bring recent blood test results from another healthcare provider
  • Arrange the required blood tests at MDC before treatment

Please note: A recent blood test (within the last 3 months) is required before your appointment. If you do not have one, please book the relevant blood test first. Patients attending without appropriate blood test results may be unable to receive treatment.

This approach helps avoid unnecessary supplementation, reduces the risk of overtreatment and ensures that treatment recommendations are based on medical evidence rather than symptoms alone.

Available Medical Injectable Therapies

Choose Your Treatment

Each therapy below includes a medical assessment before treatment. Where blood testing is required, we can arrange this at MDC or review recent results from another provider.

Vitamin B12 IM Injection
£50

Vitamin B12 supports:

  • Normal red blood cell formation
  • Healthy nervous system function
  • DNA synthesis
  • Normal energy metabolism
  • Normal psychological function
  • Reduction of tiredness and fatigue where deficiency is present

A recent Vitamin B12 blood test is normally required before treatment unless there is an existing confirmed diagnosis or another medically appropriate reason for treatment.

The dose and frequency of treatment are determined by a doctor following review of your symptoms, blood test results, medical history and the underlying cause of deficiency.

Long-term maintenance depends on the cause of the deficiency and ongoing medical review.

Vitamin D3 IM Injection

High-dose Vitamin D3 replacement may be suitable for patients with confirmed Vitamin D deficiency.

A recent Vitamin D blood test is required before treatment.

Before recommending treatment, clinical staff will review:

  • Your Vitamin D result
  • Relevant medical history
  • Current medication
  • Previous Vitamin D treatment
  • Any relevant risk factors
  • Whether additional blood tests are needed

The need for repeat treatment depends on follow-up blood results, your response to treatment and medical assessment.

Repeat injections are not provided automatically.

300,000 IU £120
200,000 IU Coming Soon £95
Glutathione IM Injection — 1200mg
£85

Glutathione is a naturally occurring antioxidant found throughout the body.

Some patients choose Glutathione injections as part of a wider health and wellbeing programme.

Routine blood testing is not usually required before treatment, although every patient receives a medical assessment to confirm that the injection is suitable.

The number and frequency of treatments will depend on your individual goals, medical history and response to treatment.

Which Injection Is Right for You?

Symptoms such as fatigue, low energy, muscle weakness, poor concentration, hair loss or reduced recovery can have many different causes, including:

  • Vitamin B12 deficiency
  • Vitamin D deficiency
  • Iron deficiency
  • Folate deficiency
  • Thyroid disorders
  • Hormonal imbalance
  • Chronic illness
  • Medication effects
  • Lifestyle factors

Rather than simply treating symptoms, our doctors aim to identify the underlying cause wherever possible. Where appropriate, blood tests may be recommended before treatment so that any Medical Injectable Therapy is based on evidence rather than assumptions.

Our Medical Approach

Investigation Before Injection

Marylebone Diagnostic Centre is a doctor-led diagnostic clinic. We believe Medical Injectable Therapies should form part of a wider medical assessment rather than being offered routinely to everyone.
