- Tissue Transglutaminase IgA (tTG-IgA) – One of the most specific tests for coeliac disease, it identifies the immune response to gluten damaging the intestines.
- Immunoglobulin A (IgA) – A general test to check if you have normal levels of IgA, which is important for accurate coeliac testing, as some individuals with coeliac disease may have IgA deficiency.
- Endomysial IgA – This test looks for antibodies against the endomysium, a tissue component in the intestines, often elevated in individuals with coeliac disease.
- Reticulin IgA – Another antibody that targets connective tissue and can indicate coeliac disease, though it's less commonly tested today.
- Gliadin IgA – Measures antibodies against gliadin, a part of gluten, and is especially useful in younger patients or those with mild symptoms of coeliac disease.
- Gliadin IgG – This test helps detect an immune response to gluten, particularly useful in patients with an IgA deficiency.
