Dr. Francesco Lo Monaco

With nearly 20 years of experience, Dr. Francesco Lo Monaco is the highest-rated cardiologist in London, on Google and other medical platforms. He was honoured with Doctify’s Award for Outstanding Patient Experience in 2024 and 2025.

In addition, he won the European Awards in Medicine 2022 for Cardiology and the European Awards in Medicine 2024 for Patient Care. His journey to becoming a leading cardiologist began with his graduation with honours from the esteemed University of Pavia in Italy in 1997. He then pursued specialised training in cardiology in 2003, honing his expertise in the field. In 2006, he embarked on a transformative experience in the United States, undertaking a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Cardiology at the renowned New York Medical College. He successfully completed this fellowship in 2009, earning an American Degree in Medicine and clearing his US medical exams (USMLE) with distinction along the way.

Since 2009 and until 2024, he has served as a cardiologist at West Middlesex Hospital in London. Dr Lo Monaco’s expertise encompasses all aspects of clinical cardiology, with a particular focus on advanced cardiac imaging techniques. He diagnoses and treats a wide range of conditions, including heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, and ischemic heart disease. His diagnostic repertoire includes essential tests such as 24-hour ECG Holter monitoring, echocardiography, and CT coronary angiograms.

In recognition of his exceptional skills and extensive knowledge, Dr. Lo Monaco was appointed as an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer and Undergraduate Tutor at the esteemed Imperial College London School of Medicine in 2013. This prestigious position allowed him to contribute to the education and development of future medical professionals, leaving a lasting impact on the field.
